What a beautiful painting, I like the way you have created the suns rays with thick strokes. The deer in shadow watching and alert. The light and shadow you have created gives feeling to the artwork.

This is an exceptionally beautiful nature creation. I particularly love seeing sun rays streaming through a forest in real life and in images. The deer really adds to the scene. The light and shading is so lovely and the whole scene is wonderfully crafted. All the best in the contest Janice!

What a beautiful painting! Those rays of sunlight coming though the trees are just wonderful!
I wonder why you painted the deer looking in the opposite direction though, I feel it would have been even more powerful if he was looking at us.
A minor detail though as the overall painting is excellent - the trees, the grass, the light, are all so well painted! Very good luck in the competition!

The background leaf colors are beautifully muted,adding to the misty morning feel of this scene. Very well composed and peaceful looking!

You know I have to give this a six with that handsome buck in it-lol! This is a beautiful painting with acrylics, especially the lights shining through the forest, the colors and rays. The ground foliage is lovely, realistic, as is the deer but I can hardly tell if its head is turned or not; otherwise, I would give a "6". If its head is turned because it is looking at the rays coming through, I need to return and give a "6". The colors of the leaves behind the trees and the trees are really lovely too.
