Since this an entry for an AI contest, I will review it. From what I have red in the forum lately, they say that AI isn't any good for backgrounds and facial expressions, but this entry has for sure proven them wrong. I think this is a truly lovely image, and I like the painterly look.

I also like a lot this idyllic scene with a man and his best friend in front of a fire place. I wish you luck with the contest Allan.

Thanks for your review and super rating. I find almost the opposite, it does a good job on landscapes and people expressions. It all depends on how you enter the text of what you want as output. I only posted this as the contest was asking for an AI entry. This whole AI art has me captivated however, good or bad. : )

You are more than welcome Allan. I can understand that people will fall for AI, because people who has never done art before can participate in these contests. What worries me is that AI will probably be even better, and people will be tempted to post it as a photograph. I can see already now that some people are posting AI as digital creations whithout telling the truth about the process.

I think this is a good one for A1 and yes it will be here to stay and this so looks like a photo altered in photoshop, and although i will not be doing it and can see your point of view on the artists point of view, but i can still see a concern on this form of art,but this is good hence the six...Brian

Hey Brian, thanks for the high rating, considering this art form is not your style, you are very open minded. You know my views on AI but I just keep finding it fascinating. It is like you are imagining an image in your mind (you type in the particulars of what you image should be like) and when satisfied you hit enter and wait to see what AI tries to do with your text. It builds slowly in front of your eyes to become more and more sharp over a minute or so.
I am not sure the future of AI art but for now it sure has novelty going for it.

your welcome can see that what s[ightly concerns me is the time you are stuck on a computer to do these images

Good point, some of my original art takes 3 to 7 hours to complete. AI takes literally a minute or less. This whole AI thing is just weird at this point.

well that surpises me as other people have said it takes to get what you want from it

Clarification, one can get the first cut of what you want in a minute or less. Then you can spend a lot of time adding additional variation to what you want.
I am usually blown away by the results I don't keep modifying. The Dog/Man image was done in less than a minute and I just downloaded it and posted on FAR. Total time, less than 4-5 minutes.

I'm glad you gave this AI contest a try. This is a grand piece of art!
I love the expression on the man's face, he's a great human enjoying the company of his animal companion.
I like the wood burning in the background but I'm not sure of the setting. Is it an outdoor or indoor scene?
Thanks for sharing this great piece of AI art!

Thanks Easton for the nice comments. AI on FAR is pretty new so we are all getting used to it. I am afraid it will not go away in the future.
I believe the fire is in an inside fireplace, but then again it is open to anyone's imagination since it is not a photography.

Great entry for the contest . Good luck. BTW - what does AI Art mean. Details are very fine and the work is very expressive. How did you choose the topic of a man and his dog? Like the burning wood in the background. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Chuck, the contest theme was a man and a dog. One can choose any subject you want. In my AI program I interface with a BOT through a prompt. At the prompt I type in key items I want to see in the result. No exactly sure, but the prompt for this was: older gentleman with a retrevier with fireplace in background. I also chose to have it in a watercolor style, but you can specify and style even naming an artist like Monet if you want. I am an old fashioned artist so this does go against my grain. But on the other hand it is a lot of fun to be creative times infinity more or less!
