Pair of horses, white and golden, flirting.

You have created a Praiseworthy work of art. These words also immediately come to my mind when looking at the two pretty horses: both graceful, majestic, gallant, approachable with each other. The surrounding land/road, full foliage, and pristine water are admirable.

Thank you, kind friend and artist, for your outstanding review, words of praise I do not deserve, but I really appreciate it and thank you for liking, supporting. Have a blessed day.

Oh and boy can those mares flirt! LOL. I love how you have painted the pathway which leads my eye throughout the scene starting with the white mare and up through to the upper right corner.

The two horses definitely look like they are interested in each other. I'm glad you added the sorrel horse because he really sets off both the white and the water with his complimentary color to the blue.

Good luck in the contest.

You are so kind artist friend. Interesting critique and review and I appreciate both much. Much of this is from my imagination.

I tried my hand at oil a few times and simply didn't care for the amount of drying time it took not to mention the messiness of it. Anyway, nice image, the colors all seem to work well together. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for reviewing, artist friend, and for your kind words and best wishes. Much of this is from my imagination. It may be my first large painting with acrylic; it was a long time ago. I got till it was difficult using oil, and it is using soft pastels. But I have purchased many of both and hope to do an oil painting or so. It has been so long. Oil pastel, yes, but oil, maybe I can. I fight asthma.

I am starting to recognise your style which is refreshingly very artistic and colourful. I never look for realistic as it deters from a natural artist's style. You have that here the horses are very recognisable but have an individuality about them.. Well done it's looking lovely.

Thank you so much, artist friend. It is good to hear from you. No, it is wonderful hearing from you. My husband is not doing so well, just suddenly. I had to go to Wake Forrest Institute but they won't do anything unless a have too. Love you, dear lady. Glena

Woah. I'm loving this, I love the way the horses are still but showing movement. The water seems to be moving too. I love how you were able to capture the movements.

Thank you for your review and high rating, a "6". I really appreciate your support.

This is too amazing and too well designed not to give six stars. The expressions, the poses, and the background are incredible. Excellent artwork.

Such a sweet and endearing visual of these two horses enjoying themselves in the water. I like your background and choice of colours. my only suggestion would be to correct the right leg( left one when facing the horse) as it looks off. well done

Thank you for reviewing, artist friend and for not counting off .5 or so. I'll look at the leg. The white one, right? Again, thanks for your support.

Thanks so much, friend and artist James. I don't know. The painting is downstairs; I'll have to look again to see if I painted with oil after the acrylic dried or left the acrylic (Or oil). Thanks again for the "6". Coming from you really means extra much.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that developing romance. Colours, textures and tones are good. Well painted and good luck!

A very pretty pair indeed and she seems to be encouraging him on saying come on in, let's have fun playing in the water! I really like the composition and the way that the road leads down to the water. A super entry for the contest.
