Out-of-the-box presentation, indeed. The twisted and contorted fabrics of the purse in this piece create a sense of otherworldly creature hiding in the closet. The B&W presentation is effective. Good luck!

Imaginative! I like the title much. I can almost see a face as well. Thanks for sharing the info and this is definitely different for still life I must say. But pleasantly different. I went back and saw this, my friend, and that title is cool, cool indeed. Glena

Can sort of see what you are getting in this but i think the main point is this is so far out of the box in the thinking and taking of this and of course detail and the b/w combined with the vignette just shows class, great work and love it...Brian

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Together with interesting notes too. Don't your purses get damaged while you are trying to get the one that you want? Textures, details and tones are good. Well done and good luck!

Thanks so much Nik. Most of my purses are stored in a tote bin but a few that I use on a regular rotation, stay on the closet shelf. Those are the ones that are nested together. Usually the pliable fabric bags go inside the more sturdy leather bags so they are fine. Thanks for the question though and thanks for your review.

Looks like your purse has a little bite to it! LOL Love how this purse looks like it could bite your hand off if you tried to slip your hand into it! Love it when your imagination sees beyond the norm and sees something totally off the wall! This is a great image for the Still life contest! Totally out of the box and fun to view! B/W didn't hurt the look of the image at all. I think you made the purse look even more menacing! Very Cool! Good Luck in the Contest! :o) Helvi

Thanks Helvi for great comments. I try to explore different mediums and approaches for compositions mostly because I get bored always doing the same things. I'm glad you liked it.

This is probably not a typical still life, but it is for sure different, creative and well seen. I like a lot that the photo is presented in black and white, and how well the textures of the purse are brought out. I also like the close and personal approach.
The photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the purse, and the exposure is perfect. It is fine distinctions between light and dark.
The format and tight framing works well, and the vignette you have added is just perfect. It is a great looking and well taken photo with a fine DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
