Beautiful capture of this relic of a locomotive with tender. The story works good too. I was lucky to see the Old Man of the Mountain before it slid of the face.I love nostalgia like this. Thank you so much for sharing this tid bit. The best of luck in the contest. ray

A good entry into the competition, you have written good notes and is very interesting to see this old engine lying in what appears to be quite good condition, the colors are coming out well and it has atmosphere as it lies on those cobbles. Fine details, good light management. Your scene construction is well done and the angle you took this very interesting

I'm a big fan of trains and this photo makes me want to go for a ride. Your composition shades tones and light highlights this subject perfectly. I particularly like the angle you used to capture this subject. Well done

I love that these old workhorses are preserved and in such great condition. Your description was helpful in learning how these machines were used and why they aren't anymore.
The colors are bright and the image is spot on. Good depth of field showing the mountains and emphasizing the torturous routes these engines were required to travel.
Great entry for this contest.

I think this is a cute little engine trailing a wagon, and even if it not in use any more, it looks well kept. A charming entry into a contest like this.

The photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the engine and wagon, The colors are crisp and clear, and the exposure is very good.

The framing is probably a bit too tight, but I think this is an interesting, lovely and well taken photo. I wish you luck with the contest.

Interesting looking train and a good one for my contest,i like seeing old trains and more so steam locomotives,my only thought with this is its a bit tight in the frame but minor point as such...Brian

This is an intersting shot of the good old coalfired engine. You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Great photo and fits well with the contest. I like the clarity of details and how you've positioned this with landscape orientation. Informative artist's notes.

Ah! This is a beautiful display of the train sections, which are not longer in use. The red on two of the parts and shiny black on the broiler and other parts really emphasize the beauty once contained.
