Your technique here is very well done to show how shiny these apples are, in watercolour especially, well done I say, you dis a lovely job, I wish though you would have picked a different colour for the background of dark pink, it kind of takes away from the apples beauty

Thank you, artist friend Lise, for your fine review and suggestion. Some have especially liked the color, so I suppose it is a difference of opinion. Either way, thank you so much. You are so kind!

Glena, I think you did a wonderful job painting these apples. I could never draw or paint like that. Keep it up! I hope you enjoy what you do.

Oh these apples look delicious - juicy and appealing. A very healthy snack. My preference is for the red but they all look very lifelike. The texture in the wooden surface is really well done and the background makes those apples pop. Lovely work!

Thank you so much, artist friend, for reviewing and for your detailed critique. It all means so much to me. Again, Congratulations to your recent win in a contest with your gorgeous digital work. Sometimes I can't get to the place where I am supposed to do this so I do where I can.

You have brilliantly created a colorful, appetizing, healthy-minded apples portrait artwork. At first glance, I thought that I was viewing an actual photograph. Very realistic looking art. I'm going to the grocery story to buy some yellow/golden apples- my favorite.

I love that you chose to create three apples and each one is a different color. They are well created with accurate shape and structure, nice work to show how they shine. I also like the way you have positioned the apples here and placed them on the white napkin.
The pink wall behind them works to emphasize them.
Well arranged and presented!

These are so realistic. Great still life you have going here. The bright oink wall and wooden counter top are a nice addition too. It's amazing what the white highlights will do to make it pop! Great job

You're making me hungry! LOL. I like that you included the different colored apples, and THANK YOU, for not making them perfectly round or shaped as so few apples in the orchards are perfect!

I am intrigued with your use of both water colors and colored pencils. It is very pleasing to the eye. Good luck in the contest.

An excellent demonstration of how to frame primary colors. The color choices are eye catching and give off an atmosphere of calm and rest.

So easy to look at. Your brush and pencil work compliments and supports each other so well.

I think this is a very strong entry for this contest, good luck... Bob
