Your are back my friend. I love this. It is simplistic but so well created. This would look so beautiful in a bakery of pies and breads. The same duo tones and different shades all elegantly around. This is a great duotone piece. I like the muted background and the contrasting brown pear shin. The "rule of odds" apply very well here. The shapes of the pears are very lifelike. Overall a very pleasing painting. I wish I could do as well with watercolors!

Thank you, kind artist, allanoak, for your review and encouraging comments. I did this one several years back and found it with "extra" written on it. I must have given the original away. And, by the way, you are a fine artist whom I think could paint and photography well what you wish and endeavor to do.

I like the strength of the colors used on the pears however, at first glance I thought it was fried chicken. I feel the piece is flat and boring. There is no light source, shadowing, or contrast. I find it bland and basic.

I notice you are new to FAR. Welcome. I hope you will reconsider this rating. I cannot believe you would give such a terrible rating. It is almost exactly like the reference which was made by one of the Master artists. I did have more shading behind the pears but it kept uploading blurred hence I removed that. I've never received such a low rating. Please see my other artwork. Thanks.

It is very clever how you have managed to portray the texture of the pears. The limited use of colour is also very effective. I skipped this one initially as it was blurry but it must have been the upload and this time it's good and clear.

This is a very visually pleasing piece to look at Glena. The duotone works. It highlights the textures of the pears.
I have always found watercolor to be difficult medium, but obviously you don't. These colors are rich and bold.

Thank you, photographer Bob, for your encouraging and fine review. Coming from you artists as yourself, it especially means a lot. I did this several years ago and found the "extra" it had on it. I uploaded this painting several times because the pears somehow kept being blurred. Also, thanks for your best wishes.

Thank you, my artist friend. You definitely helped me when you told me about the format PNG earlier on. I have reloaded this one a time or two and somehow it is somewhat blurry, not like the original painting "extra". However, you are so nice in your kind comments. I took another photo with my newer camera and hope to upload it, more like it is.
