Yes that was a date of infamy in the second World War that brought the United States of America into the War in 1941 causing the deaths of many gallent Service Men & Women . I was too young to remember that but I do remember VE day on 8th May 1945 as if it were yesterday two of my American Uncles served with the USA forces. An interesting composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. My Father was an RAF Pilot Instructor between 1939/46.

This is why my most my family has served in the military, because of Pearl Harbor. I visited the site when I was in Hawaii visiting and I can tell you, it was very humbling. Nice idea and thanks for sharing it!

oh so very cool. love that you are sharing this. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this old newspaper is good. the capture of the light is good. the only thing that brought down this rating is the presentation. i do recommend that you crop off some of the bottom. that excess can be distracting to the viewer. other than that it is very cool presentation. good job overall

A sad day for the world. My husband was 3 days old at the time. I was not here yet. Every American should feel pride to see our flag waving. There is not "A Story To Tell" here there are a "million stories to tell". Thank you for posting.

Wars, whether fought on distant lands or within borders, leave a trail of suffering and despair. In the grim theatre of conflict, there are no true victorsâ?"only collective loss, as humanity bears the heavy cost of shattered lives and fractured societies. In war, the toll is measured not only in territorial gains but also in the profound scars etched on the hearts and minds of those who endure its devastating impact. Of course, the majority of people in the world share my personal opinion.AN interesting post. Good luck!

I'll be 80, soon and while I wasn't born yet, that headline drew my father into the war. That headline and the date should never be forgotten. The attack drew the American people and allied countries close together and defeated evil eventually on two fronts. Your reminder is well timed! Thank You!

I found it with a couple of other things which were stored in a shoebox under a cabinet, pretty good shape to be 82 years old, lucky it didn't dry out. Thanks for your review. JackJr.

A good looking entry into the competition posted here together with sad, but interesting notes too. My parents somehow survived the Second World War on the Eastern Front and got into England after it. Well done and good luck!
