This is a beautiful picture of these birds. She is definitely throwing a tantrum. Excellent shading, tenting, and toning. Well done, great work, thank you for sharing

This view is beautiful. The swan against the background is astounding. Such detail is beautiful and the artist has captured the majestic stance of the swan

This is like seeing all the sibling rivalries of the world wrapped into one picture. This photo depicts my little brother and myself because I believe he would have splashed me or thrown water in my face as we are seeing here.

The mother swan definitely has a scolding look about her as the little cygnet looks upward. Good detail of the birds and the movement of water is also done well.

Thank you so much for your fine review. The cygnet is complaining so Mother is scolding for the cygnet's own good. LOL! Thanks again.

I like it but wish there was more color. Gray scale just isn't my idea of beautiful. If it had more color I would considerate beautiful. That's all.

I haven't had a review from you, I don't believe. The contest calls for black and white. I took an eraser in between the feathers on the black paper. I hope you will reconsider the rating as it is really low and this is not supposed to be but in black and white. I admit God enabled me with skill to create this with only one color, white, on black thick paper. I hope you will come again, review my portfolio of mostly realism and plenty of color when called for. Have a wonderful day.

This is a beautiful piece! I love your attention to detail. Great job on the water portion. The ripples and reflection are great. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for reviewing and for your fine remarks. I only used white on black paper, using an eraser between the feathers and other areas to show the black. Hope you will come again.

So I can't fathom how advanced this piece is and has exactly earned it! I am enjoying looking at this art piece. It can be as a black and white t.v. Reflecting looks good. Fruffles with the straight feathers too. I kindly and respectfully say-good work.

Thank you for your wonderful review, but with such a fine review, why the 4.5? What should I do differently? Hope you will reconsider as your words are like a "5" or so. Thank you again. I used only one color "white" on black Fabriano 140-pound paper. I believe this is your first review of my work. Please stop by again.

What a delightful scene you have portrayed here Glena! The little cygnet desperate to be older than her years and the mother objecting - but only to keep the little one safe. A story as old as time itself, told in a humorous way here. I can see how much work went into this and commend you for it.

Nicely done, my only objection is the fact that you took a beautiful creature and made it look scary. I think its the eyes that give it that appearance.

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

I created the mom's eyes to be corrective of her little one, which wishes to go off with her much older sister, that is more able of caring for herself. I used only one color, white, and an electric eraser to put in the feather details, water, baby's and mom's eyes, etc. I must admit that takes skill, to me, grace of God. Hope you will reconsider this terrible rating. At least with one objection, it should be 4.5. a rating of 3 is quite terrible. Sorry. Please see my portfolio. Thanks.
