You have pictured this Monarch really well, and it is sitting on a truly lovely flowers as well. I like so much that the color of it is matching the colors of the butterfly. The background is nicely softened for the butterfly and flower to stand out in an excellent way.

The photo is very sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the butterfly, and the exposure is perfect.

I also like the way you have cropped the photo, and also the placement of the butterfly and flower within the frame. A lovely and well taken photo Allan, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Thanks Annie, you have a technical eye for photography for sure and you also have an artistic eye as well. I am not sure I have seen a 2024 post from you yet! Are you still basking in the first place award for mixed media last year. : ) I miss your talents.

You are more than welcome Allan. I have been to busy to post photos, but I have finished one, and will probably post it this week end. Have used the whole week to take down Christmas decorations and washing the house.
