This scene is indeed well framed, the rock by the snow and a nice dark border shaping the frame. Best wishes in the contest. The only thing I don't like too well is the small sprinkling at the top which kind of looks like food, but I won't deduct .5.

This is actually quite a creative approach to a contest like this, and I especially like how well you have brought out the fine textures of the snow and the rock. I like that some golden autumn leaves are sticking out as well.
The photo is sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in the leaves and the rock. The exposure and white balance is perfect.
The photo is nicely framed, and I think it looks good with the rock centered. A lovely and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.
