Such a beautiful and tranquil photo. I love that you can see the depth without color. Black and White photos are so hard for me because I just can't seem to capture all the angles and deaths that made me snap the pic very easily.

You have a beautiful home, Jack, and this would really make a wonderful Christmas card. Love the brick work and the way the light dusting of snow emphasizes the roof shingles and the trees and bushes around your home. You are right, I remember having a lot more snow that stayed around forever when I was growing up; think this year we may have had a total of a foot of snow, if that. Not that I mind-lol! This is a wonderful image and i wish you all the best in the contest!

A fine black and white capture. The house itself is interesting surrounded as it is with a tree backdrop and a field in front. Looks isolated. The photo has captured the different textures of smooth snow, roof and brick walls alongside the faint tree trubks but well detailed front bush. You dont say where this lovely scene is.
