Aaaw! It sounds like you had a wonderful set of parents who loved you very much! Having creative parents is a beautiful gift.
You have recreated a sweet family image, here.
I do feel that you could have worked on the fine details of the faces a bit more but it is still a sweet image! Good job, my friend.

Thank you so much, my artist friend Jewell. I did not try to make completely realistic like I do sometime, but thanks again.

This is a beautiful family scene, they are gathered together at the table , the father holds the Bible, he teaches his children to love the word of God, the mother sits quietly next to him and the children love this time together, .
Very well created to show the importance of family, I love the way you have posed them at the table , well chosen and applied colors , I like the expressions on each of the faces.
This is a wonderful message to show the teaching roll of parents and the respect the children have as they are learning from their parents.
Well arranged and presented!

Thank you so much, artist friend, for your fine review, keen insight and continued support. Also thank you for the "6" and most of all for your review theme which is so true. Bless you for this wonderful encouragement, and I must say, at a time when needed. With hope and love, Glena

This image evokes feelings of nostalgia in me. Not that my parents ever read to me but it has a look of an illustration that might be found in a book from my childhood. Fortunately I found my own love of books and reading which has stayed with me to this day. This is a lovely family scene that is a perfect entry to the contest. I wish you luck with it.

This is what it is all about, if everyone would put forth the effort by putting their faith in the Lord this world would definitely be a better place to live. We see hatred every where we look and the love that we had when we grew up is about gone, we wonder why people don't get alone with each other but we know that the devil has this world in his hands and the only Peace that we will have is when Jesus comes again. We were brought up on the Word and we can see where the world is headed unless it does a complete turn around and pray for Revival. I really like this because this is what the world needs instead of fighting between each other. Jesus taught us to Love one another but where is the Love today. I wish you the best in the contest, keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. JackJr.

I really appreciate your review, artist Jack Jr., and greatly thank you for taking the time to write such fine commentary about your experiences and thoughts. I always enjoy hearing from you so much and for your input. It is so true, inspirational at times, and how things have changed unfavorably in the love, and faith related. Thank you, thanks you again. And, your commentary here about animals and their abilities are appreciated and enjoyed so much too. I also heard of a cat that smelled gas fumes and kept nudging family members until they awakened to do something about it. Also, thanks for your gracious best wishes.

This has style Glena, your style which is unique to you. There is reality formed here and I feel one of the group as I peep in. I feel love in each of the characters in your famiky that are lovingly painted here from the angle of their nodies yo their faces. Wonderful colour pallet. The painting is so believable I love it my friend.

Ah! Thank you so much for your fine and most encouraging review, my friend. The whole review and the "6" mean so much to me. I didn't know how this would turn out or be accepted as I composed the scene mostly from imagination, some memory.

Hi Glena you are welcome. And apologies for typos I meant to press spell check but hit the wrong button.

Don't think of it. Sometimes the spell check is wrong too. You did just fine, my friend.

This is when families were families. When the strength of the family bond built the foundation for the children to stand on their own two feet and go out into the word. Wonderful image. Over all a great presentation. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, artist friend, for your encouraging and so-true review regarding the time when families were families and your other commentary. All of it is Spot on. Thanks also for stopping by; means so much. I hardly knew how this would turn out or be accepted as the scene is mostly from imagination, some memory.

A very lovely and unique visual presented here of this family passing on the reading tradition. My mother used to read a couple of chapters before I went to bed and I always enjoyed that. Well done. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you so much, artist friend, for reviewing and for your fine comments. Enjoyed the comments regarding your mom too. My mother gathered we smaller girls around and taught us the love of art while making the familiar angel cutouts, and other.

An emotional moment indeed! In the painting, a warm glow envelops the family as they gather around the Bible, their faces illuminated by the soft light of faith. Through shared moments of reflection and devotion, the timeless bond of family and spirituality is beautifully captured on canvas. Well done!

A good looking entry into the competition posted here together with interesting notes about family life. Your fine composition suggests reliance was an important part of your lives. Nicely drawn and good luck!
