I really like the simplicity of this photo and also the perfect stop action. With just the blue sky as a background, the duck is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The focus is pin sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the feathers of the bird, and the exposure is spot on even showing the high light in his eye.
I also like the way you have cropped the photo and the placement of the duck within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo Pat, and with an excellent DOF.

A superb action shot! I live your angle showing the mallard's eye as well as the details of the wing's patterns and the feet. The plain bluish sky is a beautiful background. The You've framed this well and you've captured this strong technical skills.

Incoming! What a great shot of this duck coming in for a landing! Love the intense look on his face as he comes in for the landing. You nicely captured the wings back and forward feet, the typical position for a duck that's about to land. Very Cool and fun to view with great lighting and focus! :o) Nancy

This is an anomaly, I guess they love the cuisine, thats how man affects the natural way. This is a beautiful shot of a Mallard Drake slowing down his descent ready to land. What a beautiful sight and what a beautiful Photo. Nicely presented. Ray
