Fantastic piece if art here, Ray! You did a fantastic job on the different shape of glasses and the light reflections on the glass! I can't decide which one to choose. I like a good margarita myself! Or Whiskey and soda!
The purple and orange are such beautiful compliments in your background and table!

Thank you Jewell For your great review. Kentucky Bourbon, macerated Mint, Sugar and crushed ice, makes up the Mint Julep which is the most popular at the Kentucky Derby. Tall and cold, would be my choice, each to their own. I am so glad you enjoyed it. Ray

I like the way you have painted, with accuracy the shape of the appropriate glasses for the different beverages. The muted colors are attractive and the colors in the background make them stand out well.

Hey Ray this is definitely different and I like it my friend. I like the different shapes of the glasses and I was just wondering which one would be the best to try out. I like the colors in the background which makes them stand out really well, I also like how that fit into the frame. Keep up the great work and thanks for inviting me to come by for a drink or two. JackJr.

Why JackJr, the Julep, you can't go wrong with the Kentucky Burbon, with macerated Mint and sweetener over crushed ice on a hot day, need I say more. I am so glad you enjoyed this and thank you for your wonderful review and rating. Its an open invitation , come over any time. Ray

A good looking party drinks image posted here! I presume the julep is on the LHS? What does it taste like? I am asking this as I am an ignorant Brit! Nicely painted.

Thank you for you review. You consider your self an ignorant Brit, but I am sure you know how to use a browser, that will answer your questions about Julep. Ray

This is awesome Ray! It's interesting and very pleasing to view, I love the four different drinks in the four different glasses ready to be picked up and enjoyed by the party guests.
Very well created with such nice attention to the details, well shaped and sized glasses with such a good show of the beverages inside.
I love the sunset background and the way they are placed on the purple tray .
Very nicely presented! This is a pleasure to view!

Pat thank you for your wonderful review and rating This was part of a sign for a sundown celebration, it said "Open Bar". I enjoyed this one because there were no models or references, just off the top of my head. I am so glad you like it. Ray

What I like the best about this painting is how well you have brought out the shine in the glasses and also the color pallet. Adding flowers t a vase is a nice touch and the white one brightens the still life in a lovely way.

It is easy to see that you have paid a good attention to details this time, and your use of high lights is excellent.

The format and tight framing is working well, and the glasses are well placed on the paper. It is a fine balance in the composition, and a really well done painting Ray.

Annie, I am so glad you enjoyed this, it was a sign for a party, The glass with the flowers was a Mint Julep an alcoholic cocktail, consisting primarily of bourbon, sugar, water, crushed or shaved ice, and fresh mint. As a bourbon-based cocktail, it is associated with the American South and the Kentucky Derby. I am so glad you enjoyed it. Ray
