I love it Allan, and I am so honored that you have dedicated this image to me. The background landscape looks so lovely, and I especially like that we can see the rocks under the water in the foreground.

The dipper is done paying a very good attention to details and is posing so lovely sitting on a branch. You have also used high lights well, and the colors look nice and natural.

The almost square format works well, and with the bird off to the left, it is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well done digital creation.

Thanks Annie glad you liked it. The idea came to me from a recent FAR contest such as Birds from your country. I researched the national bird of Norway. The dippers are very interesting. They use their wings to flu underwater to catch prey. I also learned how to spell fjord correctly! : ) Thanks again.

Great Allan. I have always said it is a lot to learn here on FAR, and you are more than welcome for the review.

A good looking image posted here! Your fine and classical composition gives us a good and enjoyable look at your lovely location. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely created!

I don't think exposure is a term you use with a painting?

This is just beautiful Allan! The bird of Norway is perfectly placed within this lovely scene and stands out so very well!
I actually looked up this white throated dipper and I am impressed with how accurately you have pictured it here!
This is well created, beautifully arranged and presented! You have brought this bird to life with your creation of its eye! I'm certain that Annie will love this one!

Thanks Pat for your review. They must be pretty hardy birds as winter can get long in Norway. I hope Annie likes this painting of her homeland subject. Thanks again, and for the high rating also.
