You have indeed pictured this majestic looking eagle well, and especially the eye is well captured. The bird is also standing out from the background in an excellent way.

Your focus is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the feathers of the eagle, and the white balance and exposure is very good.

The tight cropping is working well, and the eagle has got a fine placement off to the left. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Allan, and with an excellent DOF.

Great title appropriate with the pose of this eagle with its expressive eye. I love the blue lake background and how it contrast with the brownish feathers of the subject. The clarity of textures of the eye and the patterns of the wings is superb. Well captured.

The bald Eagle has offered such a lovely pose!
You have captured it well Allan with spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear, exposure for these birds is a bit of a challenge because of the white heads, your exposure is mostly good, it's just the top of head and beak that is a bit too bright , I use a fast shutter at least 1/2000, F stop of 7 or 8 and iso 100 on these birds.
This is still a beautiful shot because of the nice focus and that clear eye and the body feather detail!
Well composed and presented, I can't wait till I can go back south to where the eagles are here!

Thanks Pat, good eye catching the blown out areas. I did not notice that until you pointed it out. I like your suggestions for camera settings as it is hard to get the white head properly exposed.
    Thanks much.
