Wow! Such a lovely landscape, even complete with a waterfall in the distance and the purple foliage everywhere. It's like a little taste of Paradise.
Your point of view was absolutely perfect. Was it taken from a lookout stop?
Perfect capture!

Hi Jewell, thank you so much for your good review and my apologies for the delay in replying!
No it was just taken on a walk.

Lovely landscape image of the cloud covered mountains of Wales. We enjoyed visiting Wales in 2006.
The rocky foreground with the heather and water are shown with clarity and make the overall image a pleasure to view.

Thank you very much for your great review!
Was it raining when you went? On the rare days that the sun shines it really is stunning, I hope that's how you saw it.

Aww Ray, thank YOU! Yes, it's all pretty much like this (except in the towns of course!), very few people, just a few random sheep to talk to, it's just a shame that it's nearly always raining! I have see it in sunshine - once! Lol
Thank you for your wonderful review and rating, you've made my day!

Love the mountain at the background and the man-made landscape with purple blooming flowers. I can see myself walking here with a refreshed spirit. Great entry for this contest.

Thank you very much for your great review!
But it's not man-made at all, it's all completely wild (the purple flowers are wild heather) - one of the reasons why I love Wales so much!

What a beautiful garden it is! Mother Nature has done a beautiful job of landscaping with the surrounding rocks and waterfalls interspersed with wild heather and greenery. Looks very remote, wild and beautifully untouched. A wonderful entry for this contest, I wish you the very best!

It is indeed a beautiful scene you have pictured here, and I especially like how well the purple heather is standing out, and also the low clouds over the mountain.

This is also a very sharp photo with crisp and clear details all over, and the exposure is spot on. I also appreciate the nice and natural colors.

The slight has worked well, and it is such a fine flow and balance in the composition. It is a truly lovely and well taken landscape photo Charlotte, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

This is a beautiful rugged photograph of the Welsh countryside. The heather and the stream running through just adds to the interest of the whole scene. The atmosphere portrayed by the photograph is reminiscent of Celtic folklore. Well done.

Charlotte,
A beautiful picture of this hilly scenery in Welsh Wales with the River flowing downhill between the rocks & the Heather adding splashes of deep mauve in contrast to the green of the grass & the Bracken. The clouding the sky struggling to rise over the mountain peaks..
Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.
Susan
