Beautiful flower and rightfully named. I love the color with the purples and greens behind but it lacks some of the crisp definition in macros, but still a very interesting and pleased shot to admire. Good work.

its very loud isn;t it . red, i see other colors from flowers trying to come in from the sides can't make them out thou,it's a busy picture great job

I use a rating system to evaluate all photos. I tend to be a bit tough, but I do this in hopes it will help other fellow photographers in taking great pictures. I am no expert either, this is just my opinion. But I hope it helps you.
Focus/Sharpness: 9
White Balance/Lighting: 8+
Depth of Field/Backgrounds: 10
Frame/Cropping: 9+
Overall Photo: A nice photo, does show some distortion, possible from resizing?

Fascinating burst of color and pattern in this florals petals. Even more intriguing is the design of the darker center created by those jagged lines of lighter and darker shades. Although this looks a bit on the overly saturated and blurred side, I find my eye really drawn to the tips of lighting found on the outer edges, the almost vevlety texture it comes acros with. The backdrop of greens and other varying colors, really accentuates this unique flower. I wish you had frame space around the flower in it's entirety instead of cropping off the upper and lower tips since the rest of the majority is in the shot. Despite, beautiful image.

This is lovely. I like the stipple effect in the background. The close up of the flower looks simply fabulous and has great coloring. The fiery red makes this a great photo! Nice work.

This scanned and uploaded badly, so I messed with it on photoshop elements 2.0, don't usually mess with my photography, but just loved this flower so tried something different adjusting contrast and brightness. I am really pleased that it has been so well recieved!!!!!!!!

For some reason I get a Gothic feeling from this flower. Interesting flower. I never seen one like it. The picture is a little grainy.
