I like this photo quite a bit. The red of the barn is wonderful and to have it all hiding behind the tree is very cool. The shadows on the roof are a little distracting.

Very good capture of an interesting subject. I like the well saturated colors and the wat the leaves form shadows on the roof.

This is a interesting image. I don't really understand the story being told behind the image, but I guess not every image needs a story to be beautiful, but Good Work anyway.

The story is about my meeting the man, Scratch, that lives here, just my time with him that day. Thank you very much for the review Gizelle!!

It is a beautiful story. The photo is cropped in too tight. Backed off to see the whole house, or at least more of the side, it would be better. I feel like I am missing the big picture when I only see it partially. A little space above the roof would also give it more DOF (rule of thirds comes in handy there with such a clear straight line). The focus and lighting are perfect.

You always have the best stories to go along with your great shots! This one makes me think of the life I would love to live, where the only law is "you shoot my horse, I'll get you back" Beautiful picture!

What a great story LowRider, seems like an interesting man. The photograph certainly reflects a lot of that age, it looks like this house here has a few of it's own stories. Great work and thank for sharing your adventure!

I love the story behind the picture. The house although old shows a resilience to time which seems to fit Scratch. Sometimes people overlook the old in favor for new or impressive. But as you have found out and captured in your piece, sometimes old is quietly impressive.

Great short story and 'Brightness to be found' is so available to all of us but you are so gracious about sharing it with us, Thanks. Did you tell him what a pretty paint job he had on the old place and the waste wild grasses need to be cut back before fire season comes along. Super angle and view on the place to compliment the noted expression.

Yep, the color is Candy Apple Red, he said he was just plannin' to paint the door but liked it so much he got more paint for the whole house! Now, the grass, it is cut now, using one of those push cutters with no motor, after the Hayman fire a couple years back that got so close to me I am really aware of what is around structures. Thank you for your great review ben!!

Sometimes country living, though simple, can be very rewarding. The same is to be said about this photo. There are many old barn/old house pictures out there, but you captured the very homely feeling, and beautiful colors very well. The story about Scratch is also very heartwarming...its good to know you can still trust some people out there still..
