I'm glad you added the bit about the cropping :o) The picture almost seems a bit washed out, but the shadows of the interior and along the side are good. Great composition and overall effect.

This must be a very old building. I think you need to get much closer to the detail, or else pick a time of day when the lighting is more interesting. Otherwise introduce a subject of interest or contrast. Like, say, a Low Rider Harley.

Let me begin with saying, that in the short time I've been posting and reviewing here I can't think of a shot of yours that I didn't enjoy. I am no expert and I don't know anything technical about photos, I review what I see and what I feel. This picture is perfect, it fits nicely with the other photos you've posted of this site. Whoever lived here and built these place built them to last!! Very nicely done!!

Such a very nice review Theo and I so appreciate you!!!
Comment from Papa
LowRider, I see this has been recognized and rated at Five Stars, so I know I'm again against the tide, and hope my review won't effect the overall; but I do think, that while the image is good and the subject certainly worthy, it is seriously overexposed. Everything that's not in shadow looks washed out. Can you try shooting closer to dusk or dawn, in much more appealing light, or can you try a polorizing filter? You find such interesting and appealing subjects!
Peace, Papa

Thank you very much Pops!!! I understand what you are saying very well, I never mind you going against the tide!! I might give you a little bit of a hard time once in a while, but all in fun. I do use a polorizer filter, however, I did work it out with my kid to go early am next week. Truely I believe it must have a lot to do with being over 7000 ft altitude--so much closer to the sun in addition to the time of day. I do thank you for your review and we shall see what my next bunch of pics bring!!

LowRider, wonderful composition and terrific photo! I like how you took this with just half of the old home. It gives it a little more perspective and pleasing look overall to the photo. Very nice :)

I love the way you find such unique old buildings and such, to photograph. Love the timeworn look of this old place which still stands...buildings reflect the stability of time from the person who constructed. Determination, strength, and purpose :) Great photography with "heart", Debbie

Thank you gaj!!!!!!! That is what I 'get' from the old buildings, they are interesting to me, calming, and inspiring.

I like this shot and I don't think there is any need to really see the entire building. You have captured its character nicely. Well Done!

The group of photos you've done on this has been amazing. Makes me wonder who use to live there....and what was their story. I can almost feel the energy from the past lives that touched this place... Great capture!
