i have never even got close to photographing a butterfly, so the fact you have it with great clarityand exposure gets my five immeadiatley. If i was going to be pickey, which seems to be my way, I would have waited till he(so obviously a he, very beautiful) land on a blander coloured plant, well done low, great capture.................

First thought was regarding the color and it's Very Good.
I don't think the focus is off at all ... do think there might be some harsh sunlight to deal with and that the way nature makes those wings does sumpin' to the way we capture irridesent (sp wrong) "stuff"...
Super shot .. it's all composed well.

Very nice photo with very good colors, ok focus but a beautiful project. I like it very much in almost every way, just a tiny more contrast and it would be perfect.

Thank you mt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This one has a lot of color. It's not a picture to show the butterfly against a contrasting background. It's one to show how beautiful he looks with the flowers. I like the composition, shadows, and how everything works together.

Just like you, Debbie. : ) This is a very cool picture. You did a good job with shoelace's advice. You caught the colors of the butterfly and the flowers very well!

This is nice. The framing is perfect, but it seems a tad overexposed. I know from experience how hard it is to get these critters just right. Nicely done.

Thank you david!!!!!!! Sun really harsh up here in Colorado, this was taken about 8AM, go figure-----------
Comment from strangelove
Well done. Try cropping the subject a bit closer. The flowers are pretty, but they detract from the butterfly. Also try and shoot when the light is not so harsh, early morning or late afternoon.
