Great shot! I wish i was there. You did a good job capturing the snowy tops and the contrast of the forest near you and the white peaks far far away. Kinda gives me chills. It's really a lovely picture. Keep up the great work.

I love this shot! It is very beautifully taken. I really wish it would have been a closer shot in order to show more of the mountains. Reminds me of the song "America the Beautiful". wonderful shot!

Low, this is a nice shot of an impressive subject. The clouds hanging on the Mt. peaks a very good. I would like to have seen the Mts. fill more of the frame as they are the point of interest.

Lovely photo. I love the layers of trees and hills working backward to the snow covered mountains. The expanse of sky in its delicate colours set off the mountains beautifully. Great work. Cheers, Macycat

Very nice landscape picture. I wish it was larger so I could really get a feel of the landscape. The mountains are beautiful. Looks like a snowy day. Good work.

Beautiful picture! Those mountains are so majestic! The clouds on the tops of the mountains really add character to the image. Very nice shot!! And it's getting close enough to Christmas that even going to the grocery store is an adventure! :)

Initial impact:
What's Good: captures the moment, feels like a sight that you would glance at on a road trip and think, "wow, I wish I had my camera".
What could be better: Back out a little to get a bit more landscape at the bottom (unless you're excluding civilization in the shot which is completely understandable) without excluding the cloud formations captured so wonderfully in the photo.

Creativity of presentation.
What's Good: I like the long cropping of this view. It gives that scenic property to the photo.
What could be better: Not sure what shooting conditions you were under when you took this and what options you had. A bit more elevation say on top of a car or a small hill nearby so that the dark tree's didn't overlap the mountains in the distance as much.

Color Harmony
What's Good: white to lavender to powderblue back to white and slate blue then down to some navy blue then to black. (that's what shows up on my screen) good overall capture of a color theme would work well as a mural on a wall inside someone's home.
What could be better: close the aperture a bit and expose the photo a bit longer to create a more colorful woodline and more contrast in the blues.

Center of Interest
What's good: subject is along the sight lines points (divide the photo into 9 equal squares and where the lines cross is a sight line point. I don't actually know what the real name for that technique is. I do know that its only one way, but that it does work)
What could be better: --

Technical Excellence
What's good: as before the cropping is well done and adds to this kind of photo.
What could be better: I have an ultra high resolution monitor so I can see some of the flaws that many other monitors don't show up. The blue mountains that are between the woodline and the snow capped peaks are grainy in quality. To some degree the entire photo has this quality. Was that deliberate? I've seen digital zooms do this to photo's as well as low lighting conditions. Leaving the shutter open longer, not using a digital zoom are both resolutions to this. Sometimes its a matter of camera as well.

Technique
What's good/What could be better: Not enough information

Story Telling Ability.
What's good: I am coming in to this late but it appears as if this is an ongoing series of photo's all telling a story. AWESOME! Photo's that do more than just "look good" are always a plus in my book.
What could be better: A written story line that says more about the story the photo is continuing to tell.

All in all I like the concept and the idea, a black forest was a bit of a blight and the grainy quality means it can't be made into a large print for selling which is a down fall to it.

    Thank you Ules!!
Initial impact--was very busy with unattractive subjects in the foreground.
Creativity of presentation--could have crawled on top of my jeep.
Color harmony--ok, got the tripod on top of the jeep.
Center of interest--very interesting and will definitely study division of 9 instead of just the 3rds rule.
Technical--no, grainy not deliberate and not seen by my monitor, although, not a LDC.
Technique--got it, needed to have been there yourself situation.
Story telling ability--actually fanart is not rated nor requires story telling, however, fanstory in connection with this site does. More of an ongoing teasing when I write notes although I have a couple photos with stories attached that I really don't consider stories, rather just something interesting I believe worth sharing, me, not a story teller for sure.
Overall assessment--I understand what you are saying and is most helpful, because when I go on shoots I do my best to practice info such as this that you have been so kind to elaborate on, thank you again!

A very nice scene accentuated by the panoramic crop. I would perhaps remove a bit more of the sky and more clearance of the trees so the whole mountain range in the scene would be unobscured. Otherwise, this looks great and it would look great when blown right up and framed.
