The clearity of the this image is superb. You used a filter right? because the white areas of the cabin are soooo white. This is a good thing as it adds contrast to the building. Very well done!

Yes, I used a polarizer stacked on an ND2. Thank you so much for this super review dick, I appreciate your time!

What a great clear and well focused photograph this is. Somehow it is so pure in it's story in that it has stood there for many long years and though life has taken place within, so much life has been going on in a world that has changed irrevocably in the years since Mr Crull lived there and the old cabin has stood there changeless and timeless.

The very fact that you made this into a black and white photograph is the making of it IMHO as I do not think it would have had the same impact as a coloured shot. Thanks for sharing this lovely old dwelling with us.

Thank you Alexemch for taking the time to share such great thoughts! This is a very enjoyable review and yes, you are right, the color is so very different with much less impact in my opinion. I very much appreciate this review, thank you again!

Hi there stranger. How are you doing? No news must be good news. I like this photo. Artistically much can be done with this and I think that this will look great in either colour of sepia too. The composition here is good and the branches in the front gives dimention to the photo. You have your focus and clarity spot on. Best wishes. Marie

What a fabulously modest looking dwelling which has so much character, perfectly captured in this shot. The black and white toning is magnificent - the whites stand out beautifully in contrast to the darker areas of the timber and I love your composition. A thought provoking, quality shot.

Your tile and the descriptive line sounds perfectly-attracts/catches. Unfortunately, I don't recognize these grand promises in your photo. I see just a good done shot.
I have read your notes...maybe the shot is very significant viewing it locally, but the concrete names speaks totally nothing to the viewers who haven't any personal touch with a hut of your story.
Thank you for the sharing.

Nice image of a piece of history - the black and white effect is supporting the historical image. The composition of this homestead surrounded by nature is also great. Thanks for sharing.

Hi,
This is a lovely shot with a great history behind it - your a good storyteller.
The B&W is fine, but feel sepia tones might have given you a higher star rating, as the B&W leaves me with no feelings of "Hurray, you did a excellent job!" A bit more of the tree (facing the pic) would balance it out a wee more.
Thanks for sharing, Bonnie

I think sepia would have worked better for this era. But that's just my opinion. It's still great in black and white and a fantastic old home. Very well photographed and well focused. The lines on the home are very distinctive and sharp and attracted my eye to this. Well done.

Interesting shot and view point. I like how part of the house is hidden behind the trees, which also frame it as well. Great focus, and good use of black and white. Thanks for sharing. ~Danielle~
