Noni, I would call it ' stress' or 'confusion' as that is what most of us relate to and in this creation there is an element of both, even though you have made it a 'tidy' affair. Best wishes.

"Balance" is the first thought that comes to mind. I love the balance in this piece. Fire evaporates water and water puts out the flame. I really like how you did it. Well done.

'Fervour and ice'
Your piece is highly symbolic. This is what i interpretated.

( I am not giving you a biology lecture, by the way)

Water is a kind of release.
It forms 80% of our body
.It is essential for the very basic sustenance of life.
It is the essence of our life.
water is considered a positive and soothing element.

Fire on the other hand is considered destructive.
It is associated with intense fervour and passion.

It can ruin the whole world and demolish complete lives.
But, it is essential too. Imagine a world without fire.We would be back to the pre pre stone age.
Our present life will have no meaning at all.

Water controls fire, but when water exceeds it self, we get floods.

In this sense, both the elements are highly invaluable as well as destructive.

In the Indian system, life is goverened by five elements: water, fire, earth, air and sky.

Each element is different yet contained within each other.

In your pic, the blue represents fire, red water.
The brown spots may represent earth and .the whitish gleam air and sky.

The various geometric symbols may represent comma, the naver ending cycle of life and death and the horizontal bars look like bar graphs indicating your sins and your good deeds!

Everything seems cluttered but that itself may represent the fact that life is not easy yet one has to see it through!

PS: i would call it 'OM', which in Hindu religion means the essence of life.
O'm' is life and contains everyone and everything.
Good Luck!

"Balancing The Elements" I liked the colors and pattern of this piece. The blance of the two with the textured blue is pleasing to the eye. This would compliment any room if hung on the wall with a mystery of what lies behind the soul of this piece.

It seems to be a certain taste that would fit well in certain areas but not so well in others. I do think the artist can create.

I like this piece and am glad to hear that it is being hung in a gallery. It has a Southwestern flair to it, but for the life of me I can't think of anything to name it. Usually my stuff doesn't have obvious names, just titles that I use when creating them so I can tell each one apart. I have a pencil drawing that I really like that was done a few years ago called "Far Striker" and that is just a vague reference to the arrow-like element cutting the picture in half.

Sorry. I am rambling. Good luck and I am sorry I couldn't be of any help but I am sure someone here will be able to come up with something.

This really is a good piece.
