This is so pretty
I love the details in the eyes, hair, and mouth. The bird is cute too. I'm a fan of anime. Keep up the good work.

This is a commision work, and I have strived to get the her personality built in this. The comic is a source of my artworks, and whatever I do, I think I see an fragment of that. You do wonderful comic work, and I wish you keeping up. Do you know any good maker for sharpie pens. I do not mind to play around sometimes. Thank you very much for your time to review this work. Yasue.

I keep coming back to this, I see that you are very talented,as in your comments I see this is one of your earlier works, gentle, still has happiness in her eyes, I feel of most of your works that your use of color says to me that you recognize that there is beauty around you, but you don't fully embrace it, you seem to be a bit disconnected from true happiness, like many things are missing from life for you. you are very good at conveying emotions in faces, this one says to me that there is still hope, but what once was is nearly gone. I will see more later and looking forward to it. thank you for sharing.

Thank you. I have grown up Japanese anime called 'Manga' and all my works are more less influenced by it. This work is pure manga style drawing.
When I draw from life, I end up to be something ugly (sad, depressed, pain, hardship, death etc) as I do not have any expectation from life and human in general, so to speak. If you have noticed, I also do something fantasy like artwork (this drawing belongs to this side); this is because my longing to something absolutely pure. People say two styles are so opposite but those are actually connected within me. Thank you for the encouragement, but I have art as I believe that is my destiny(?). Yasue

just to make sure I expressed myself correctly..I want you to be sure that none of my comment was negative toward you or your work, I was observing something about you as a person by your work, as the comment about your use of color (its beautiful), it appears by the expressions on the faces that you don't fully embrace it as your own, you see it, it touches you but the connection of you feeling that it completely belongs to you seems to be disconnected, like you feel that the beautiful things are missing from your life, you had or have much sadness, pain and hardship in your life. You most certainly have art and have great talents. Was I correct in your life feelings? I love your work and was just feeling that how you feel about life comes out in your work.
    Thanks for considering these comments

I love the detail in your work. Every time I come across one of yours I can tell with out looking who's work it is. Your detail is layered and forces you to stop and just sit and look. As true art should.

There is a hole in my heart
I had to sit and look at it a few minuets to absorb the pain in her face. You gave her grate bones you can tell she would be fine if not for the pain. The highlights on the edge of the lips and eyes really bring them out.

Grate job she is very intense. The translucent shading is cool. The effect of the shade line half way down the eye is part of what sets the pitcher apart.

Melancholy
I see your intentions in your notes. It is interesting to me, though, that the triad Maiden, Mother, and Crone is shown here.

More, each has sorrow reflected in their eyes--a great inference of sorrow past, present, and future. Or, in the representation within your notes: past, past, and present.

If one can read 'nostalgia' from an aging woman, I think the artwork does the purpose. Thank you very much! Yasue.

I am not an artist, and can only review this from an amature's viewpoint.

That said, my first impression of this work was, "This looks like a depiction of a goddess."

After reading your notes, I would only add, `sea goddess'.

Dignified Gentleman
I am impressed with the quality of this work, although I think `strong man' rather than `dignified' is more suitable for a title.

I see power here, and anger as the primary emotions. Dignity is present, but I think anger is foremost.
