Love this! Is this made in illustrator with gradient mesh? Good job on the contrast and various subtle shades of green! Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

Got an Itch? by gidavidson

Nice little fellow! Love the detail and composition of this shot. Great color too, even though it is muted overall, there is enough specks of green and burnt orange to keep you interested.

Green Bee by Jairos

Lovely in green! Nice detail on b the insect and the leaf. I like macros very much - they let you see into the secret miniature world we otherwise don't notice. Thanks for sharing.

Perfect contrast between red and flower and green background. I like extreme close up with flower bursting off the frame. Nice job!

Bell Bottoms Anyone? by Photowhisper

Was not sure how this one worked at first until I clicked on it to see it was a wall sculpture! Great contrast between the black and white polka dots and the vivid yellow of the wall.

Sunning Gator by Sange

Great compositions, colors and subject matter. I like it that the animal is a perfect blend between the grass and the rippled water. Great shot with perfect contrast. Thanks for sharing.

silk bunny by jesuel

A little moody and dark for my taste, but nicely done! I am always impressed that people can express so much with just a few strokes. Great job!

Journey's End & New Beginning by cynnocence

Good luck in the contest! If there is enough time left before it starts, I would resubmit with corrections. This photo definitely needs some major improvements: fix exposure in post processing (this is underexposed); also straighten the horizon (it is slightly off which is distracting); there is a spot on the sky next above and to the right of the flag pole - this comes from the dust on your camera sensor, but it is very easy to take it out in post processing. Also, focus is too soft, in my opinion for a seascape, because your subject here is the island, so it should be in sharp focus. Very sorry for low rating, but the photo needs correction. I can change my rating later if you fix the things I mentioned. On a positive note, this is a very nice view at the Ellis Island, obviously taken from the water. Very nice job choosing your subject because it is interesting to many people. The composition is good because it observes the rule of thirds well. Again, good luck in the contest.

What a beautiful kitty. I love your composition, but there is too much noise in the image and it would have been nice to add more catch light into the eyes either by using a reflector while taking the photo or in post-processing. Thanks for sharing.
