Night Owl by dubach

Awesome background lighting here that gives way to detail of this staring and delightful owl. Looks like it saw you there and posed. Colors for evening are so perfect for that calendar. Also, I believe this owl has no question as to what it is up to. Life must go on. Very nice.

I do believe you excel at this Impressionistic piece. Plenty of detailed emotion in your strokes here and light dark stage settings balance nicely with performance bow.

melody in blue2 by jesuel

I have been reading about the color ultramarine blue as the Impressionists have used it. It was used primarily for its light reflection. This figure has a severity about it in that the blue seems so cold as does the woman's stare. It is as if she is daring the viewer to defy her nudeness as being anything but correct. The Impressionists, wild bunch as they were, painted much the same way in their day. I feel there could be a more emotionally interesting blue applied here.

Evening Hunt by dubach

This is awesome picture. Love the way the water creates lines that look like satin with red lighting against the bird outline. Wonderful balance and feeling of distance. Very peaceful note with underline expectations.

Chasewater Signal Box by drmerlin

This is so perfect you might say it was made for a train set. Well balanced lighting with detail very fresh. I like the colors of aging wood and stone.

Pleasant Pasture by dubach

Stunning! Wow, how does one see a night like this? Color balance gives a wonderful glow to a mystic evening. Fine detail in trees and clouds. Surreal in its all over feel. Have you made a calendar yet?

Heron through the Reeds by adrianart

Really like the composition here and the coloring. Clear detail of heron and vegetation for a foggy morning. Bet you were cold? or not. Like the sunshine in sky and reflection on water that gives halo around bird.

Who let the cat out of the bag by adrianart

Wonderful illusion of three cats. Position perfect, background sets off black cats well. I know that stare, I have 3 black cats and 1 gray long hair that like to get into cozy bags, pillows and under bed covers. Lighting gives good details of cat.

in loving memory by adr1an

Very well executed for animal lovers. The eyes say it all. A puppy is always adorable and a willing subject. Colors are vibrant and detail is great as one could almost pet the little guy. Upper background a little light; bet that is the color of sofa, could be stronger but OK as is.

black gown by jesuel

This is quite nice as it has past traditional influences. The pose, dress and even the Spanish (?) looking face reflect a time when the "world was at your finger tips". There is a subtle grace and beauty in this work, a gentler mode for you I should think.
