Well for a first time using oils it looks like a brilliant job to me :o) Hats off to all the people who actually PAINT using real world tools! Lovely work!

Thank you for the hats off. Although I am also somewhat in awe of what people can create with digital effects and with computer software programs for some reason (and probably not true because I have never done that either) it seems like that is cheating just a tad! Nonetheless, I had fun trying oils for the first time and I am anxious to do more. Thank you again.

I don't think it's cheating. I can't, as I sometimes make painting from photos digitally and I don't even know why. I just think that we have more tools available to us than poor old Van Gogh and people like him did. How some of them would have loved the digital age :o) I would love to hear what you think of my 'Pulteney Bridge in Bath' attempt at a digital painting :o)
