Heading out on a month-long camping trip to Nevada and Texas. Planning on coming back with some fantastic shots! Ok, some good shots. At least, I hope to be out of the cold weather.

WolfPause : I hear ya. I still haven't figured out how some people can be so high on the list but never seem to do much work to get there. For that reason I dislike the site. I'm trying to enjoy it for other reasons but I guess a little of each of us would like to be at the top. I imagine I'll dart in and out a bit.

Just would like to thank everyone who has reviewed/viewed my past photos. I have (re)learned so much in a short period of time and it has encouraged me to continue with the camera. Many years ago, I put down the camera to do other things in my life. By the time I picked it up again, so much had changed. Thanks to everyone on FanArtReview, I now feel as though I can, once again, enjoy shooting with the digital camera and working with the new programs out there.

Anyone out there sell their photos to stock websites? Is it worth the time and effort to sell photos this way? Thinking about it...
bkrh4 : I've dabbled a little bit. It's not an easy buisines and really getting 99 cents for a shot is frustrating. You really need to shoot in RAW and follow the stock expectations of really high quality so unless you have a professional grade camera it's difficult to get the file size they usually want. Look it up try shutterpoint.

Ahhh. Another humid, hot day in the Windy City. Never thought I would pray for some rain to clean the air a bit!. Been working with photoshop and actually figured out how to use a tiny bit of it! Lots more to learn.
Alison Williams : Ditto. I'm still bumbling through as well. I don't use it near to its capacity, which is a bit frustrating.

There are days, like today that I wish we didn't have to deal with stars for review. Maybe those who don't want another's honest review should state what they are looking for when posting instead of attacking the reviewer when they don't like what they get back. I think I will take a break from reviewing for a while.
WolfPause : I'm with you on this one. I also find that some people only review from their own lens and never the lens of the taker of the photo. Call me sometime (651-735-1310)...I've got an idea for you. Michele

Slowly, bit by tiny bit, inch by very long inch, I am beginning to get a feel for using photoshop! It is amazing how this program can take an ordinary, everyday photo and change it into something worth posting! Today is a good day!

Photoshop is driving me crazy! I recently purchased the Adobe photoshop Elements 8 and find that whenever I have a moment, I am glued to the computer trying to figure it out. Although, I have to say, it is kind of fun as I have never played with my photos before! Who knows, maybe there is a hidden artist talent there somewhere!! Have a great day everyone! Got to get away from this computer for a while and see what else life has to offer :)
