my name is stephen little i am 46 years old and for the last 21 years i have been disabled i fell 30 feet of a ladder while i was at work and broke my back since then i have had to look for new things to do, retrain, so thats what i did i tought myself photograpy and had a few exhibitions of my hand coloured photographs all the money that i made i gave to great ormand street childrens hospital as i think it one of the most worthy causes, I also very recently took up oil painting I thought i was ok until I saw what alot of you can do but I am not a quiter never have been and never will be so i will carry on but please be honest with me if I post a rubish painting please tell me thats the only way i am ever going to learn.
On a personal note I wish to say thank you to all the people who have wished me well after my bought of illness thank you very much for your kind words it gives me faith in the human race once again kind regards stephen

just been to the hospital and was told i need anouther operation on my spine, but i have refused to have it done as the first one left me disabled, so they have put me on new medication morphine quick release and slow release and diazepam 60mg a day so i am a bit spaced out to say the least but i am still here you dont get rid of me that easy lol see you soon keep reviewing please regards stephen

David T Francis : Sorry to hear that about your back - I'm not allowed diazepam as it sends me really hyper like a 16 year old on ecstacy!!!

Pat Christensen : Wishing you all the best, being in pain is no fun. Words of experience , although many return to a normal life on Morphine, becareful on it. There is a fine line between dependent on it to fuction(as in a diabetic with insulin) and becoming addicted. My husband was on it for about a year both the short term and the long acting stuff he built up a resistance to it (there is a name for it but it evades me at the moment) almost an allergic reation to it. It suddenly made everything worse instead of better they kept uping the doseage and everything got worse. Finally took him right off of it and switched to the next step, so far things are much better. Living with pain can be very disabling for the suffer and their families a great attitude and understanding of the medications you are on helps. Knowledge is impowering! be well thinking of you and yours. :)Pat
