INFORMATION
While in the Army, in 1967 I studied photography through the School of Modern Photography. Later jobs and interests diverted me from the avocation.
Now that I'm retired, I've purchased some digital cameras and equipment and renewed my quest to improve my photography and explore the benefits of digital cameras. It's good to be back!

Old Redeye: Cindy just commented that she had a camera stolen. It reminded me of when I had the same experience. Perhaps others can learn from my experience what I learned the hard way: Upload your photos to your computer EVERY DAY that you shoot. Then, if your camera is stolen or the memory card crashes, you don't lose so much work.
I try to learn from others' mistakes because I don't have time to make them all myself.

    photosbyted: Yes I was at kelly barricks I was there in 1974-1978. I started using the lab at Neligen Barricks first then Tought at kelly Baricks with AL neilager or how ever you spell his name. I tought there for 3.something years untill I had to go back to the states. I retired in 1992 just after the 1st gulf war and now have a small studio and shop all digital now back then we had dark rooms and now we have light rooms go figure. Oh yes I Have been using canon since 1971

    Old Redeye: I don't know of a Kelly Barracks in France. This was in Stuttgart, Germany and was the commanding headquarters for VII Corps.

    SandyHill: Okay, small world. My Dad was stationed at Kelly Barracks. Retired in 1976.

    I left Kelly Barracks in 1968. The daughter of a friend of mine went there a couple years ago, only to discover it's no longer a military base.
