Kenneth Dinkel: "Art is a gift from God. I can't take any credit for it" Jack Lord, artist and actor of the original Hawaii 5 0 series. Creating works that make people happy bring me the most joy. I began as a landscape artist then by the forces of nature jumped to the abstract side. So now vacilate between both depending on my mood. My inspiration for art started when on a trip to Maine in 1998. I walked into artist Val McGann's Gallery who is one of America's premier landscape artists. He put down his brush and talked to me for an hour. His words of wisdom and sage advice changed my path in life. My "Big Break" came when Robert Keiber curator for the Berkeley Gallery Berkeley College, 3 East 43rd Street New York, N.Y. gave me my first Solo Exhibition July 1-31, 2008. My works were well received and three abstract paintings sold at my opening including one to Bob. Many thanks to Ed McCormack: Writer for Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine and later with Rolling Stone Magazine and founder and Managing Editor of Gallery & Studio Magazine an International Art Journal. Ed's reviews, features and publications of my works in the June/July/ August 2008 issue featuring "Rush Hour" at the Berkeley Gallery and February/March 2010 issue featuring "Autumn Mist" again at the Berkeley Gallery for a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Department of Continuing Education both curated by Bob Keiber, catipulted me onto the International Stage. I am a self taught artist and recently studying independently with Alan Reingold, a who's who of illustrators and portrait artists. Commissioned by U.S. Presidents and noted for his pegasus piece for Tri Star Pictures. Of all my Solo exhibitions and awards, the personal invitations I have received to show at: The Great Masters of Tomorrow International Contemporary Art Exhibition at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, France September of 2009 and 2010 and Contemporary Beijing 12th, 13th and 14th Annual International Art Expositions at the China World Trade Center in downtown Beijing, China give me a sense of validation and achievement. My works are in private and corporate collections in U.S.A. Europe and Asia. Including: Axis Point Inc. 350 Madison Avenue N.Y. N.Y. Purchased by Dan DiSano C.E.O and President. Fifth Street Capital Inc. White Plains, N.Y. purchased by Leonard Tannenbaum C.E.O. New York Yankee legend and Grammy nominated musician Bernie Williams and Two time Academy Award Winning Director Mr. Ron Howard
