I am a self taught photographer up and coming. I am looking to learn new things and hopefully improve my photography. I also enjoy being artistic with the computer. I have done quite a bit of digital scrapbooking and am looking at doing more of my own digital art.

msrphotographer: Its snowing here, first time of the season. I am wondering if I will be able to get a photo of it before it turns yucky. I am at work and cant get out til it is almost dark

msrphotographer: I saved almost all of my photos on my external drive that crashed. Thank goodness. I am not going to be saving them in an online back up as well as somewhere else, any suggestions you guys may have?

msrphotographer: My external hard drive decided it was going to crash. It is doing a repair and I hope it saves all the hundreds of photos I have on it. Very sad right now.

    Echo7: Theres nearly always a way of retrieving information from a hard drive. I wouldnt worry too much.

    but in future i would suggest looking at internet storage. Its cheap & you can store online.

    Much better to back up your prized files online.

    msrphotographer: I have some of them stored online but not the original files they have been re-sized to take less space. I have a program that someone suggested for recovery and I am going to try that. Thanks guys ...just reminds you to back up in 20 different places.
