Print Publish Partners

fanStory.com has partnered with traditional royalty paying print publishers in order to provide a path to print for successful fanStory.com authors.

We offer a priority review to fanStory.com writers that have a completed book on the site that has done well.

To request a review is simple. Authors can use our "Print Publish Review" certificate on the first chapter of their completed book. The certificate requests that fanStory.com consider sending it to a print publisher partner.

fanStory.com will first review the book. If it passes the fanStory.com review process we will contact the Print Publish Partner that we have selected and request a priority review. If the print partner agrees to publish it (and the author agrees to publish with them) the authors book will be sold on fanStory.com and our soon to be released bookstore.

fanStory.com will assist with marketing books that are printed from fanStory.com print publishers. In addition, we will contact the authors fan base when a book is printed.

Our print publish partners are PublishAmerica and Winterwolf Publishing.

Questions and Answers

Q:Does this cost me anything?
A:No. You can earn the member dollars needed to buy the Print Publish Request Certificate by writing reviews. Only traditional royalty paying publisher are accepted as print publishers. Our print publisher partners do not charge authors.

Q:Why is there more then one publisher?
A: Each publisher has their own needs. It also gives authors choices.

Q:Where will my book be sold?
A: All fanStory.com print partners make their book available on Amazon.com, Borders, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and other online sites. Books are also sold in traditional book stores but it varies based on the publisher. We recommend checking with the publisher, asking questions and finding out from the publisher where specifically your book will be sold if accepted.

Q:If fanStory.com reviews my book and sends it to a print publisher does that mean they have to accept it?
A: Authors will receive a priority review from our print partners. fanStory.com will recommend the book. But that does not mean a publisher will accept it. Publishers will review the book to determine if they are interested in publishing it.

Q:How does fanStory.com market my book if accepted by a print partner?
A: When your book is available in print we will notify your fan base. Your book will be available from your profile. If a work of yours is read online we will show a banner that gives readers the option to buy your book on Amazon.com. We also show ads througout the site marketing books from fanStory.com authors in print. In early 2005, we will be opening a bookstore that will feature only fanStory.com authors.

Q:

A print partner published my book but it was not reviewed by fanStory.com first. Can I can sell it on fanStory.com?
A: No. All books sold on fanStory.com must pass the fanStory.com review process. To request a review use the Print Publish Review certificate.

Q:

What if I don't want to use a print partner?
A: This is an optional service. You are free and encouraged to research all options when looking for a print publisher.

Q:

What if I have questions?
A:Contact us with any questions.
