The Next Generation - Art Contest Entry 
I scratched our Granddaughter Melissa when she was 12. She didn’t really pose for me. We were both drawing something else when she said draw me. So I did. A fast scratch but somehow I got an impression I didn’t realized myself while I was drawing. I think this little scratch is symbolizing, the tenderness und vulnerability of being between child and woman, full of dreams and hope.
She is grown up now, a mom herself and I kept the scratch all these years. The scratch [school pencil #2 on paper] got wet and a little damaged in one of the hurricanes as you can see in the left upper corner of the scan. Sorry for that.
