This is a monarch butterfly on golden rod.
I was out looking for photo opportunities, I saw this old barn that was about to fall over, so I pulled over and walked over to it. In front of the barn there was a lot of golden rod, and butterfly's all over the place. I spent about an hour there. This is one I got there.
I am using an Olympus E3 with a 70-300mm lens
I don't remember the settings.
