This is a tiger swallowtail butterfly. He is on a flower of the button bush. These beautiful insects love to eat the nectar from these flowers. You can see his Proboscis (a straw like tube) going into the flower, he then sucks up the nectar. There must be a lot in these flowers because you see a lot of butterfly's on them. I was able to get a close view so you could see a different part of the butterfly. I hope this was interesting for you! I am using an Olympus E3 camera with a 70-300mm lens ISO 400 500/sec f9.5
