Thought I was going to enter the contest where a long exposure is required. I don't really have very much experience with this type of photographing and thought some practicing would be a good idea. This photo was taken in an almost completely dark room. Just enough light to see the shoes. I used a timer. When about half the time of exposure was gone, I moved away the left shoe so that the background can be exposed and shine through. The background was a velvet shawl. This time I also used a tripod. Would be pretty difficult without. As you understand this is an experiment, and I can assure you; it was great fun.
