Since it is a national holiday, I thought I would clear away the dust on this one and post it in honor to my fellow vets. I do have to admit I am proud that the kids get the respect they deserve today compared my day when I served. course those hippies that spit on us back then calling us baby killers are probably the ones who are running the country now..ya just never know..wink.
original notes;
This is a fact..no matter what country you are from and your loved ones go into to harms way and then they return back to you. Your not caring were they over there for a just cause, your not worried about your country policies. Your not concerned about anything else but to be in the arms of that loved one. Those loved ones at home dealing with the day to day life to keep the family going while that soldier is away. The reminder when their children look up at home parent and say "i hope daddy or mama is alright" and that loved one would assure the child that everything would be ok, but you know they are worring also. The soldiers are on the front line fighting every day...so is the soldiers loved ones who fight to keep the family normal waiting....wondering....hoping that day they will back to be in their arms again. Even though we soldiers have it hard, its just as hard for our loved ones waiting. I stand at attention and to salute the Heroes family who helps makes a soldiers life bareable with thier love shining like a beacon showing us the way home.
