Holiday Photography Photo Contest Contest Entry
For the holiday photography contest I thought I'd show some of the joys of Christmas. I did a mixed media using five different images. I started with a lovely small creche for Jesus's birth, then added Santa, some decorations, holiday cookies and an angel. THe angel was placed in the creche scene. I put each photo in an ellipse and put a transparent dark blue gaussian blue behind it. After each image was placed I changed from the PNG format into JPG and circled the five images to cut them from the background. I saved it and used a bump and crevice filter for the new background then overlayed it with the images I had just removed. Santa's image had film grain added as falling snow. The ornament design was created from one ornament that I made two other colors from and then put together. The cookie photo was taken at my brother and sister-in-laws this past Christmas. I loved the way my sister-in-law displayed the cookies. HOw can one resist a snowman among trays of cookies. I also painted a candy cane heart in. The creche came from a dispay of creche's from around the world at a local church. I added a an angel I saw in a Christmas display. I hope you enjoy! Thanks SO much for stopping by! :o) Helvi
