Here's an allegorical piece attempting to illustrate the mysterious electricity that accompanies love. On the bottom right is Cupid reviving Psyche with a kiss (as in the myth) and from his halo spring two wires which are linked with the rings on the fingers of the couple seated in the centre. The wires form a loop in the dark before plugging into the bright lamp that illuminates another kissing couple in the top right who are the highlight of the piece. The hair of this couple are standing on end as if charged by static electricity. In the bottom right, is the symbol of love, mysterious and ephemeral in the darkness. Finally, in the top left is a baby Cupid with his primed bow and an arrow with a tip in the shape of the symbol of electricity. He's aiming at you, dear viewer! Happy Valentine :) R
