Macro Photos Contest Entry
Taken in 2012 at the Queens Botanical Gardens, with my old faithful OM1 using a macro lens. Forgot to write down the name of the flower, so I'm asking anyone out there if they know the genus. As I zoomed in on it as a prep for this posting, it looked like a honeycomb to me, and the bee seems to enjoy what he/she is getting. Enjoy. Spring is in the air.
Well I got two suggestions for the name of our green friend - Thistle and Teasle. After looking at pictures of both it looks more like a Teasle, but I suspect that they are both from the same family. Thanks to Michiganmike for the name, and Mi.michigan as runner up.
And now a shout out to Annie Murray for giving us the Dipsacus Thistle - looks like they are all related.
