This flower is a garden variety hybrid in the Coreopsis family.
The plant has single blossoms on a stalk which emerged from a circle of small green leaves layered on the ground. The blossoms are 1 to 2 inches wide, while stalks could get to 1 FT [32 cm] high. The plant blooms from early spring till midsummer.
