Traditional Artwork of the Month Contest Entry
Hi all,

This is a sketch created to illustrate the following poem. It is a snippet of a long poem titled 'The Maid of the Lake' which I plan to write and illustrate continuously till I can write and draw no more :) Happy viewing and reading if you do!

The Maid of the Lave VII

'Truce', her face pretends; 'vengeance', her heart cries,
And will no other purpose contemplate.
The ways and means that pass before her eyes
Seem good or bad or indeterminate;
At last it dawns on her that if she dies
She will succeed, and eagerly this fate
She welcomes; it seemed a small price to pay
If it ensured her foe went the same way.
