We put sunflower seeds on the deck for the chipmunks,but we also put a couple of piles of them on the ground for the deer after the bird feeder is filled.The deer love them, and at some point,one of the does discovered there were some on the deck.Imagine my surprise when I looked out the kitchen window and saw her standing on the steps eating the seeds.The last thing we need is a deer on the deck considering there are three large windows facing the deck.After taking some photos through the window,I opened the door and told her to get off,she very slowly backed down the steps and walked off.This wasn't the last time we've had to chase her off,sometimes we've caught her sniffing up toward the deck and have had to open the door and tell her "No,don't even think about it"! I think she gives us a dirty look before she leaves!
