FEBRUARY 2018 OPEN CHALLENGE Contest Entry
I have many passions, two of which are nature photography and math. Although seemingly not compatible, my mind said there must be a way. For this contest, with no shackles to hold back, I created a geometric rendition of a pink camellia. The image of the camellia was taken February 20. 2018 in Daphne, AL. It is one of the first flowers to bloom in spring.

The math is expressed in the "cuboids". A cuboid is like a square sided cube, but think rectangles instead of squares. Or don't think about it at all! :) The camellia is still beautiful in whatever shape it is presented.

I hope you like this, if not, well......I tried!
Post Type: Mixed Media Photography
Mixed Media: Medium | Used layers to separate the camelia from the background. Used extrude command to turn the flower into a geometric pattern of cubes. Sharpen, blur, color enhancement.
