When I saw this mother teaching her daughter how to play a computer game it riveted in my mind as I knew I had to do a painting of what was happening. Lots of artistic license of course to get the style, feel and look of it that I wanted to show. The daughter is not even old enough to go to pre-school and is demanding to be taught another computer game. Another game! Watching her little finger looking so small on a down sized mouse work the toggles while watching the monitor simply amazes me. And then to give everything over to her mother to be held so she could watch and learn just simply stunned me. These are the moments in life that make life worthwhile. I wanted a look and feel that not only expressed extreme attention to the task at hand, but to include that intangible emotion of that special "thing" that exists between a mother and her daughter. It is the "Unbreakable Bond".
