Flower Photos Contest Entry

I love dahlias! The flowers they bare comes in all sizes along with a great number of heights. The array of colors,(bi-colors included) is endless. The shapes of the flower can run from a simle daisy type to one to with multiple petals along with differant shapes and length. Dahlias are annuals that come from a bulb-like root... I was blown away by the beautiful blossom in this image. I did a little mixed media on it and hope you enjoy the results. Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy! :o) Helvi

Mixed Media: Major | Background : .... Removed flower image from background and put aside. Used Gaussain blur on background then applied metalic filter, darkened it. copied it, and applied it as a semi-transparent image.

Flower : ... Reapplied cut image of flower and leaves over background. Highlighted edges, added small amount of embossing, Used a slight application from Fractalius Filter on flower. Changed image from .png to jpg. Cropped image
