We stopped at a quaint seaside market in Nice, France in the past. It is so interesting to see what the fishermen bring in each morning as the market opens. Octopus (and calamari) are actually pretty good when prepared correctly.
The cost shows as 9.90 Euro/kilogram. Doing the math, that is about $5.75/lb American. Poulpe is the French word for Octopus.
